St. Mary's
Episcopal Church

Who We Are

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church is a warm, welcoming and diverse community of faith. We come from many different backgrounds, but we are united by a desire to live Christian lives, to grow spiritually and to show God’s love to others in all we do.   We are a family oriented parish;  loving each other, supporting each other in difficult times and rejoicing together at times of joy.

St. Mary's is an active parish, with a comprehensive Christian Education program for children, youth and adults; a vast array of ministries; an excellent music program and many opportunities for fellowship.

The Episcopal Church has a rich liturgical tradition. All of our services are based on the time-honored and beautifully written Book of Common Prayer. Yet, at St. Mary’s, the tone of services varies from the formality and solemnity of the highest holy days to our informal summer services—some of which are held on the lawn.  St. Mary’s is one of 174 parishes in the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut. The Diocese is part of the Episcopal Church USA, which is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

We welcome guests and visitors and have special inquirers sessions to help new folks feel at home here and learn more about St. Mary’s, the Episcopal Church and the Christian faith.
